BRENT ALLEN

Brent Allen serves as the Founder and Managing Partner of Carolina Acquisition Partners. He is an experienced entrepreneur who has started a number of other businesses including Carolina Core Wellness, AmpliFi, and Carolina Core Machines. Brent uses his deep sector expertise, rigorous financial modeling, and robust network to identify catalysts and evaluate opportunities. 

 

Brent brings over 15 years of combined accounting, financial, and operational experience to the Company. Brent has been directly involved with the financial management of small and medium-sized businesses of various types. Prior to founding CAP, Brent was a founder and President of AmpliFi, which provides outsourcing of CFO, accounting, and bookkeeping services for small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Southeast United States.  Before founding AmpliFi, Brent served as the Chief Financial Officer for Machine Specialties, Inc. and was responsible for setting company-wide financial targets, ensuring profitable growth, and financial vitality, together with developing and implementing comprehensive financial reporting strategies to assist ownership in making well-informed and effective decisions. Before this role, Brent was the chief financial officer for Darran Furniture, a high-quality, mid-priced furniture manufacturer located in the Piedmont Triad area.  At Darran Brent was responsible for the preparation of company-wide budgets, tracking profit and loss across all product lines, and the design and preparation of monthly financial reports for management.  Brent was also an audit manager with Bernard, Robinson & Company, LLP, one of the largest public accounting firms in the Piedmont Triad. As an audit manager, Brent carried out complex tax and audit engagements including the preparation of financial statements and tax returns in the healthcare, manufacturing, and non-profit industry sectors.

 

Brent Allen has served on the board of United Way of Greater Greensboro, offering financial advice to the nonprofit, and is a mentor for the Greensboro lunch buddy program. He has also completed the Leadership Greensboro program and the Grinnell leadership jumpstart.  He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs in small and midsize companies achieve financial success. 

 

Brent received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Appalachian State University. 

 

Recently, Brent started working towards his pilot license. He is also a strong bird hunting shooter, much to the chagrin of his animal loving girls! He works diligently to ensure his businesses and others are successful, along with making time for fun such as hunting!
