JOSH BAKER

Josh is a problem-solving expert who designs and implements effective business systems at CAP. He exhibits a strong passion for innovation and improvement, and is creative in envisioning new solutions. Josh actively works to accomplish the business system in as few steps as possible. He takes an organized approach to documentation, thinks strategically about marketing and customer service, and ensures the order and harmony of business processes to improve efficiency and ensure business success. Josh relishes the challenge of finding solutions to complex problems and believes in simplifying processes by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable steps. His work is focused on empowering people to achieve their best work, and he derives a sense of fulfillment from seeing his efforts lead to positive change.

 

Josh began his career working in his parent's restaurant, where he gained valuable experience in various roles, from washing dishes to assisting in the front of the house. Not long after, he attended Lenoir Community College, earning two 2-year degrees in Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management. At the age of 21, he became a construction manager, but when the housing and construction market took a downturn in 2008 and 2009, Josh transitioned into sales, landing a job at Triangle Pest Control in Raleigh. Over the course of 11 years, he worked his way up the ranks from inside sales to Vice President of Sales, Solution Center Manager, Office Manager, and ultimately Chief Administrative Officer. Throughout his career, Josh has gained a unique perspective, having worked on both the front line and executive side, which allows him to connect the two perspectives and effectively manage his team.

 

He's a resourceful thinker who enjoys re-imagining designs and inventing new solutions. As he goes about his day, he can't help but notice things and remark, "There's got to be a better way to do that." He simply can't turn off his analytical mind, always questioning whether something is truly the best option. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with gadgets and taking things apart to see how they work and how they could be made better. He's particularly fond of building things and has a collection of 3-D printers and laser engravers. He also loves coaching his daughters and watching them grow through sports and personal events. He never lets his girls win, believing they need to earn their victories. He loves giving his girls advice and hearing them come back and say, "I did what you said, and it worked!" Right now, he's in the genius” phase of being a dad. His daughters think he's the smartest person in the world and that he must have a magic wand somewhere. After seeing his results at CAP, we concur!
